H\\u00e1 situa\\u00e7\\u00f5es patol\\u00f3gicas em que a pessoa perde o \\u00e1cido or\\u00f3tico por excessiva excre\\u00e7\\u00e3o urin\\u00e1ria. Dessa forma, uma das bases nitrogenadas derivadas deste \\u00e1cido, o uracil se perde na excre\\u00e7\\u00e3o e se torna deficiente.
